Father flies into rage after finding man trying to rape his 4-year-old daughter, then justice is served

No loving, responsible parent can hear stories about children being abused without feeling some emotion. For me sadness and anger are conjured, and I believe no punishment is too harsh for someone who would actively seek to cause a child harm.

Of course, I know I’m not alone. It’s the natural urge of most parents to feel protective of their kids; the vast majority of us wouldn’t hesitate to defend them physically if it came to it.

Yet there are also those who are willing to sink to depths of depravity the rest of us can scarcely imagine. One particular case, witnessed in Texas in 2013, was so shocking it’s still being discussed today. The story continues to be shared around the world, and for good reason.

It involves a dad who caught a man trying to rape his 4-year-old daughter. When he did, he flew into a rage that couldn’t be controlled and ended up beating the alleged abuser to death.

His fate has since been decided by the penal system … and it may just shock you.

Jesus Mora Flores discovered the abhorrent error of his ways when he was caught by the father of a four-year-old girl he was attempting to rape.

The 47-year-old alleged aggressor was a farmhand who had dragged the girl into a secluded shack on the family farm near the rural town of Shriner, Texas.

Needless to say, the father flew into a rage upon catching Flores, and started beating him until he realized the man was unresponsive. After that, he immediately called 911 to report himself, according to the New York Times.

According to court records, the girl’s father was alerted by her brother, who had been feeding chickens with his sister when Flores grabbed her. The dad then ran toward the shack, before hearing his daughter’s screams emanating from the inside.

When he entered, he found Flores with his daughter, both of whom had their underwear removed. The father pulled Flores off his child and “inflicted several blows to the man’s head and neck area,” as per the Daily Mail.

Upon realizing what he had done, the dad then called 911 and even offered to drive the man to the hospital. Emergency crews arrived, but it was too late for Flores.

Sheriff Micah Harmon, said the father was extremely remorseful, and was merely trying to protect his daughter.

“You have a right to defend your daughter,” he said. “The girl’s father acted in defense of his third person.”

Justified homicide

The grand jury in Lavaca County agreed with the Texas sheriff and declared Flores’ death as a justified homicide.

“Under the law in the state of Texas, deadly force is authorized and justified in order to stop an aggravated sexual assault or sexual assault,” District Attorney Heather McMinn explained.

The father’s name was not released in order to protect his daughter’s identity.
