Harry’s single gesture to Meghan gives us insight into their relationship, body language expert says

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been seen for the first time in public since the first release of their Netflix documentary series.

The couple were in New York on Tuesday evening for the Robert F. Kennedy Ripple of Hope Award Gala in New York City, during which the Sussexes received the Ripple of Hope Award.

On Thursday, the first episode of their documentary series aired, not one week after the first trailer whipped people into a frenzy. Of course, what will happen between them and the rest of the Royal Family in the aftermath of the documentary is anyone’s guess.

Harry and Meghan have largely been focusing on their new business ventures, which include recording podcasts and writing books.

Now, a new picture from the New York gala seems to reveal precisely how the two are feeling given their hectic schedule and all the controversy they’re caught up in …

This week is release week for Harry and Meghan. Their Netflix documentary series dropped yesterday, following the two trailers that were given extensive press coverage around the world.

Suffice it to say, the British Royal Family has cause for concern.

Harry & Meghan’s documentary series

The first trailer opens with a woman’s voice asking why Harry and Meghan started their journey in the first place. Then, some personal photos create a slideshow, including a picture of Harry playing guitar and he and Meghan taking a selfie on holiday.

The slideshow also features a picture from the couple’s 2018 wedding celebration and another from when Meghan was pregnant.

“No one sees what is happening behind closed doors,” Harry says. “I had to do everything I could to protect my family.”

The teaser trailer – which gained almost two million viewers in 24 hours – continues with a time-lapse of photos of both Harry and Meghan, from when they were children up to this point. Everything indicates that something big indeed will be revealed in the documentary series.

“When the stakes are this high, doesn’t it make more sense to hear our story from us?” Meghan says in the trailer.

Regarding what the documentary series will be about, a Netflix spokesperson said: “In an unprecedented and in-depth documentary series, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex share the other side of their high-profile love story.”

The timing for the Netflix series has not been well-received by everyone. Especially not considering that Prince William and Kate were in the US for the Earthshot Prize Awards in Boston at the time.

“Here it is, the day before Prince William and Catherine’s big royal event in the USA. Bitter Prince Harry and Meghan,” royal expert Richard Eden said on Twitter.

“I’m appalled by the trailer for Prince Harry and Meghan’s Netflix reality show – and so are Prince William and Catherine’s inner circle.”

“I realized they are never going to protect you”

“Right on cue, Harry and Meghan drop the trailer for their victimhood fest on Netflix. Shameless,” GB News presenter Dan Wootton said. “Meghan has already destroyed the Markles. Now Harry is trying to destroy the Windsors. Small mercy that the late Queen doesn’t have to live through this.”

If the first trailer wasn’t tantalizing enough for those anticipating Harry and Meghan’s Netflix series, a second trailer was then released on Monday.

The first look at the series focused mainly on the Sussexes themselves. However, the second trailer was more explosive, featuring several clips of Harry’s late mother, Princess Diana, being hounded by photographers.

Harry can be heard talking about the “pain and suffering of women marrying into this institution.” Then, in another shot, Meghan cries, saying: “I realized they are never going to protect you.”

The couple are also seen sitting in a car together, and Meghan’s voice is heard saying: “I was terrified, I did not want history to repeat itself.” Some argue this is a direct reference to Harry’s late mother, Princess Diana.

An early shot of the second teaser shows a photo of the Royal Family during the 2019 Trooping the Colours. Harry says: “There is a hierarchy in the family. You know, there’s leaking, but there is also planting of stories, adding that “no one knows the full truth. We know the full truth.”

One particular image of the couple from the trailers features them inside Buckingham Palace. Interestingly, it later turned out that they weren’t actually allowed to take the picture at all, as they hadn’t asked Queen Elizabeth’s permission first.

Harry & Meghan series to be “utterly explosive”

No one knows what’s going to happen in the near future where the fallout from Harry and Meghan’s documentary is concerned. It’s predicted – and relatively safe to assume at this point – that the production will include several bombshell revelations. It’s already been stated that if there are things in the series that William and Kate think are unfair or false, a “briefing war” might occur.

“The Prince and Princesses’ team will wait to see what’s in the Netflix series before deciding what to do, but you can see the direction of travel,” a source told Express.

“I genuinely think it’s going to be worse than the royals can imagine,” a source in contact with a Netflix production insider told Mirror. “I’m told that it’s going to be utterly explosive and will be very damaging.”

“A lot of people are either pro-Sussex or pro-William and Kate, but there’s a belief that this documentary will bring people onside with Harry and Meghan. The big question is that, whatever the revelations are, who will people side with after seeing the show. It has that feeling like the public will have to choose,” another source told the paper.

“Whatever comes out, some people will think that Harry is betraying his family and that it’s unforgivable. But if what finally airs is as seismic as we’re led to believe, then it may be good for the Sussexes. There’s been some talk the documentary has been toned down, but at the moment, that’s wrong.”

For their part, Harry and Meghan have been very quiet about the content of their the Netflix series. What’s more, very little has been leaked, so the world has had to wait for December 8, when the first episodes aired

Harry & Meghan attend New York gala – receives award

The mood in the British Royal Family is said to be tense in anticipation of the documentary and how its subject matter will affect them. Prince

William and Kate Middleton recently visited the US for the Earthshot Prize Award in Boston. And yesterday, it was Harry and Meghan’s turn to walk the red carpet.

Flying in via private jet to New York City, the Sussexes attended last night’s gala organized by the Robert F Kennedy Human Rights (RFKHR) organization. Not only did they attend the big gala – where tables sold for up to $ 1 million, but they were also awarded the Ripple of Hope Award.

As reported by the BBC, the Robert F Kennedy Human Rights organization is a human rights advocacy organization that focuses on issues such as mass incarceration, racial justice, and gender-based violence.

Moreover, it honors those who have demonstrated “an unwavering commitment to social change and worked to protect and advance equity, justice, and human rights.”

During the ceremony, which had actor Alec Baldwin as its host, Harry and Meghan spoke about their “belief of courage over fear and love over hate.” They also announced a new collaboration between the human rights organization and their Archewell Foundation –The Archewell Foundation Award for Gender Equity in Student Film.

“Our hope with this award is to inspire a new generation of leadership in the arts, where diverse up-and-coming talent have a platform to have their voices heard and their stories told,” Harry and Meghan said in a joint statement.

“I just thought we were just going on a date night”

“The values of RFK Foundation and the Archewell Foundation are aligned in our shared belief of courage over fear, and love over hate. Together we know that a ripple of hope can turn into a wave of change.”

Speaking with news outlet Extra, the organization’s president, Kerry Kennedy, praised Harry and Meghan for talking on the issue of mental illness so openly.

“For Meghan to get out there on national television and normalise discussion of mental health, at this point, is incredibly important and very brave,” Kerry Kennedy, daughter of the late Robert F Kennedy, said.

On stage, Harry exchanged words with Kennedy and even gave the audience a good laugh as he made a joke about the evening.

“I’ll be honest with you, Kerry – I just thought we were just going on a date night, so I found it quite weird that we’re sharing the room with 1,500 people,” Harry said.

“We don’t get out much these days because our kids are so small and young, so this is completely unexpected. But it’s nice to share date night with all of you, so thank you for coming,” he added.

For the big gala night, Harry & Meghan were, of course, appropriately dressed. Meghan wore a beautiful custom-made Louis Vuitton gown. It was her ring, however, that got the most attention.

She wore her late mother-in-law, Princes Diana’s, aquamarine ring. Diana reportedly commissioned the ring from Asprey in the 1990s. Such rings are thought to have a staggering value of $90,000.

Meghan wore Princess Diana’s ring

It’s not the first time Meghan has worn something from Diana’s jewelry treasury. She wore the same ring for her wedding reception, as well as her and Harry’s royal tour of Tonga. Moreover, Meghan’s engagement ring is crafted from two diamonds that belonged to the late Princess.

In the couple’s breathtaking Oprah Winfrey interview, Meghan spoke about Diana and how she reached out to one of the Princess’ close friends during her mental health struggles.

“I was told that I couldn’t [get help], that it wouldn’t be good for the institution,” Meghan told Oprah.

“I went to one of the most senior people to get help. And I share this because, there are so many people who are afraid to voice that they need help, and I know how hard it is to not just voice it but to be told no.”

“One of the people I reached out to was one of my husband’s mom’s best friends, one of Diana’s best friends,” she added. “Because it’s, like, who else could understand what it’s actually like on the inside?”

The first episode of Harry and Meghan’s new show will be released on Netflix this week. The series will consist of six parts.

Harry & Meghan’s body language reveals details about reelationship

During the aforementioned New York gala, the couple was seen sitting very close to one another. According to body language expert Patti Wood, they are showing their love differs from many other couples walking the red carpet.

Wood tells the Sun that it’s common for famous couples to break away during the different poses in front of the cameras. But that doesn’t go for Harry and Meghan.

“They might as they go to post handhold, but to keep it continuous tells me that they rely on each other and they want to be seen as a united couple,” Wood said.

Furthermore, Wood explained how she noticed that they were very close they appeared when appearing a the red carpet. Their “mutual touch” is something the body language expert is familiar with – meaning moments when one person responds to touch by grabbing their hand or touching, for example, the waist or back.

“That is their norm. It’s sort of important to know that because we’re seeing that norm even up a notch,” Wood said, adding that their interlaced handhold “shows a desire to kind of mesh and be seen as joint.”
