Meghan Markle’s beauty has captivated not just Prince Harry, but millions of people all around the world.
One thing in particular that has become a regular talking point is her hairstyle, and yet what many people don’t know is that her real hair looks nothing like that which we see in the photos.
Meghan is known for being a sweet and extremely beautiful woman, every inch the storybook princess. Despite that, she and husband Prince Harry decided to officially walk away from the British Royal Family, claiming they were constantly attacked by the media.
After leaving the Royal Family, Harry and Meghan moved to the U.S. and bought their first house together in Montecito, California, last July, as per Hello.
Meghan initially left acting to become a member of the Royal Family and later left the British royalty too. It’s likely the combination of Hollywood and Buckingham Palace that lends her the glamorous aura that’s conquered the world.
The media are obsessed with writing about Meghan, her life, her family, her acting career, her style, her clothes and, of course, her hair.
A common topic
Meghan’s hair often looks straight or loosely curled. From the very moment she got engaged to Prince Harry, her hair was a common talking point – mostly due to the fact many believe the style would be considered too informal for a future royal. The former actress herself didn’t seem to be very concerned about the comments, mind, and continued wearing the hairstyle in public.
Meghan and Prince Harry got married on May 19, 2018, with the wedding televised and broadcasted live around the world. Although she looked impeccable, many were surprised when they saw Markle’s stray face-framing hairs.
“While her layers were first tucked behind her ears during the ceremony went underway the pieces began to fall and stray hair covered her forehead and the layers behind her ears poked out,” wrote BAZAAR.
People took to the internet to comment that her hair was too distracting to even watch. A hashtag was created, #bobbypins.
On May 6, 2019 the yet-royal couple welcomed their son Archie Mountbatten-Windsor to the world. The new parents were delighted to expand their family.
Archie’s first birthday
As a mom of a one-year-old, you don’t have much time for yourself sometimes. And yes, that counts for Meghan too, though she probably gets more help than most.
The 39-year-old has shared a number of moments with the world since Archie’s birth, showing that it’s not all glitz and glamor.
The image below belongs to a video for the ‘Save With Stories’ campaign by Save The Children. Meghan can be seen contributing to supporting vulnerable children around the world during the COVID-19 pandemic, gifting them early learning packs, supermarket vouchers and virus protection kits.
Consistent hairstyle
Meghan has retained a similar hairstyle over the last decade. Even when she became famous via her acting carrier, her hair was long, dark, and often wavy. That’s at least how we came to know her in the popular series Suits.
Suits is a legal drama that premiered in 2011 and concluded in September 2019. Meghan played the role of young lawyer Rachel Zane, the girlfriend of one of the protagonists, Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams).
Of course, she left the series after getting engaged to Prince Harry, so her fans never got to see her in the show’s final season.
Hidden real hair
What many people maybe don’t know is that her natural hair looks nothing like the one we usually see in pictures or on TV.
It wasn’t until photos from her past appeared that we got to see how her natural hair looks.
Former Miss Teen USA and vlogger Kamie Crawford wrote on Twitter: “SOLVED MY OWN CASE. We got curls in the royal palace”.
Kamie was accused of putting too much focus on Meghan’s race, emphasizing her curly hair.
In 2014, Meghan revealed one of her anti-aging secrets; daily facial exercises and massages.
“I swear it works, as silly as you may feel,” she told Birchbox in 2014 and added:

This is when Meghan worked long hours as an actress – the Duchess shot to fame in the early 2000s as she played the role of Rachel Zane in Suits.
“If you don’t understand that this tweet is in celebration of Meghan and all of her royal gorgeousness. You’re intelligent enough to speak to me, even though a tweet (…) Please go sit down somewhere while the rest of us co-wash our curls with joy for our new princess,” the former Miss Teen USA fired back at her ciritics, as per Elle Australia.

“On the day I do it, my cheekbones and jawline are way more sculpted.”
She said she didn’t wear foundation unless she was filming and that she just puts on after moisturizer to give her skin a dewy glow. Meghan inherited her curly hair from her African-American mom, though it’s a style we never get to see nowadays.
A petition to get her natural hair back
Naturally, many of her fans would like to see Meghan’s natural hair more often. A petition was even started on Twitter asking the former actress to go back to her naturally curly hair, back in 2017, as per Elle Australia.
I think she looks gorgeous no matter how her hair looks. What do you think? Would you sign up to that petition?
