The truth behind this sweet wedding dress has shocked thousands around the world

If you’ve been a bride or been around a bride you’ll know the importance placed on the right dress.

The choices are endless and it can be very confusing for those who don’t have a firm idea of what they are looking for.

But one gown has caught the media’s and the rest of the world’s attention for its beauty — and the surprising truth behind it.

So once the venue is decided on, the dress has been bought and the menu perfected what else is left? The cake of course and there are about as many decisions to make on this final detail as the dress.

One woman decided to combine the dress decision and cake decision into one yummy solution. And her solution has gone viral.

This beautiful life-size creation is in fact a cake!

Emma Jayne Cake Design is the talented woman behind this creation, which immediately went viral.

Emma Jayne took her inspiration for the dress from Filipino fashion designer Mak Tumang‘s intricate “Angela” gown.

At six feet tall it was displayed at London’s Cake International much to the delight of sweet fashion fans who stood in awe at this amazing creation.

Emma Jayne used 132 pounds of fondant to create the dress, and 110 pounds of modeling paste to make the flowers.

It took the talented creator 10 days to make the dress, which was lovingly constructed inside of her home.

Six people were required to life it over her garden gate. It’s amazing it remained intact.

‘Simply incredible’

“We were asked to choose a wedding dress designer and make a cake based on one of the wedding dresses. I was asked to make the only life-size wedding dress and chose Mak Tumang as his designs stopped me in my tracks. They are simply incredible,” Emma said.

Designer Mak Tumang actually made an appearance at the trade show and posed for a photo next to Emma Jayne and her gorgeous gown.

As well as the hundreds of fondant flowers on this beautiful creation it also has a generous sprinkling of opal and Preciosa crystal beading, which is the icing on the cake!

Let’s hope this visual and edible delight stays standing for as long as possible.

I definitely look at this dress differently now I know it’s edible. It’s probably a good job I didn’t see it in real life having such a sweet tooth!

Please share with all the people you think would appreciate such a yummy dress!
