Tiffany Trump has welcomed her first child

There’s a new addition to the Trump family tree — and proud grandpa Donald Trump is celebrating once again.

Tiffany Trump, the 31-year-old daughter of President Donald Trump and actress Marla Maples, just welcomed her first child with husband Michael Boulos, 27.

The couple, who tied the knot in a lavish ceremony at Mar-a-Lago in 2022, broke the news on May 15. Tiffany shared a touching black-and-white photo of her newborn’s tiny foot on Instagram, making it immediately clear that her baby boy had arrived.

She captioned it:

“Welcome to the world our sweet baby boy, Alexander Trump Boulos. We love you beyond words! Thank you for coming into our lives!”

Her husband Michael was quick to respond in the comments, proudly writing:

“He’s a blessing!”

Tiffany’s mom, Marla Maples, also shared her joy with fans:

“No greater joy in the world. Michael and Tiffany this Gran Mar Mar loves you all so much!! You rocked it, my girl!”

Meaning behind the name

The name Alexander Trump Boulos is a meaningful blend drawn from both sides of the family. Tiffany’s husband is named Michael Alexander Boulos, so it’s likely their son’s first name is a tribute to his father.

Meanwhile, the middle name “Trump” nods to Tiffany’s side of the family—a tradition some families follow by using the mother’s maiden name as part of the child’s name.

Tiffany’s father-in-law, Massad Boulos, is a prominent Lebanese-American businessman who also plays a key role in Republican politics.

Alexander is Donald Trump’s 11th grandchild — Ivanka Trump has three kids, Eric Trump has two, and Donald Trump Jr. has five. Baby Alexander makes it an even bigger family affair.

Interestingly, Donald Trump first let the baby news slip before Tiffany had officially confirmed her pregnancy. While speaking at the Detroit Economic Club last October, he excitedly told the crowd:

“He happens to be the father of Tiffany’s husband, Michael, who’s a very exceptional young guy. And she’s an exceptional young woman. And she’s going to have a baby. So that’s nice.”

Why Melania didn’t attend the babyshower

Tiffany waited until mid-December to publicly reveal her pregnancy, and since then, she’s been keeping fans updated online with snapshots of her growing baby bump.

Just last month, big sister Ivanka Trump threw a Peter Rabbit-themed baby shower for the mom-to-be. Posting a carousel of party pics on Instagram, Ivanka wrote:

“This Sunday, I had so much fun hosting a Peter Rabbit-themed baby shower for my sweet sister Tiffany! We celebrated her and the unborn child together and lavished her with affection. It was the sweetest day – filled with so much love, laughter, and excitement for everything ahead Tiff, you’re going to be the most wonderful mama. Your baby boy is already so loved – and so lucky to have you! Love you!”

Tiffany, dressed in a short-sleeved, powder-blue dress adorned with delicate bust details, looked radiant at the event. Notably absent from the Florida festivities was Melania Trump, Donald’s wife and former First Lady.

A source told People that there wasn’t “any reason” for the First Lady to be there, adding that Melania “has her own schedule, even on weekends.” Instead, she spent the weekend in New York with her son Barron Trump, who enrolled at Stern Business School at New York University last fall.

Meaning behind Tiffany’s name

While Tiffany’s early forays into music and fashion didn’t quite take off—she once recorded a pop track called “Like a Bird” and modeled at New York Fashion Week—she’s since carved a more serious path. After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania with a sociology degree in 2016, she earned her law degree from Georgetown University Law Center in 2020.

The 31-year-old Georgetown alumnus has created her own family and very much walked her own path in life; her father even once said he was proud of her to a “lesser extent.”

Tiffany Trump has remained out of the spotlight for large parts of her life, at least in comparison to the rest of Donald Trump’s children.

Named after the Tiffany & Co. jewelry store on Fifth Avenue in New York City, Tiffany spent most of her early childhood years in “The Big Apple,” where her father’s real estate empire was based. She was seen together with her step-siblings at bigger family celebrations.

Considering what her father has said about her, it’s a fair assumption that she won’t be the one inheriting his vast empire. Of course, that might not even be what Tiffany wants, particularly not since Tiffany has stood on her own feet for large parts of her adult life.

And now, as she begins a brand-new chapter in motherhood, Tiffany Trump seems more grounded than ever—and ready to take on her most important role yet.

Welcome to the world, baby Alexander. You’ve got quite the family waiting for you.
