Skater shocks entire audience – 17 years later, no one in the crowd has forgotten what he did

When life feels dull and depressing, it’s always refreshing to see people dare to be different. Perhaps it’s a coworker who walks away from a dead-end job and travels the world, or maybe it’s a friend who dyes their hair pink. It doesn’t really matter what it is — the main thing is that they go their own way and don’t care about how things are “supposed” to be.

One person who knows exactly what I’m talking is figure skater Evgeni Plushenko. Chasing medals in such a competitive sport, Plushenko realized that he had to stand out and be creative to distinguish himself from the competition.

And there’s no better way to do that than to be yourself.

Over the years, Evgeni Plushenko has skated several groundbreaking routines that have raised eyebrows around the world, but perhaps his most breathtaking was a routine he did at a competition 17 years ago.

Although it’s been a long time, I don’t think anyone who witnessed it has forgotten what they saw.

Before the competition, Plushenko decided to skate to Tom Jones’ classic “Sex Bomb.”

It wasn’t just a bold song choice — he also decided to make his costume and choreography just as outrageous.

As soon as the song started, Plushenko started flirting with the audience. And it didn’t take long before his jacket came off.

The seduction continued throughout the whole song. Plushenko tossed off layer after layer, and to the audience’s great enjoyment, he added numerous comic touches — all while showing off his amazing skills with difficult jumps and pirouettes.

It was the same kind of skating that won Plushenko four Olympic medals and three World championships!

Unfortunately, the 35-year-old Russian hung up his skates a few years back.

But he’ll always be remembered. Unlike many other skaters, he wasn’t just a talented figure skater, but also a top-notch entertainer!

Check out this clip to get a glimpse of what made Evgeni Plushenko such a unique skater.

I think this performance was fabulous — talk about putting yourself out there and daring to do something different.

Please share this with your friends so they can also see it. It might just encourage them to follow their own path and have more fun in life!
