The world rejoiced after 12 Thai boys and their football coach were found alive and well in a flooded cave in Thailand. A tough operation is now underway to rescue the boys who have been trapped by rising water levels for two weeks.
Many rescue workers are involved in this mission and divers are making the long and dangerous journey to deliver supplies to the needy boys. But tragedy struck when a former Thai navy diver lost his life in the effort, according to CNN.

Petty Officer Saman Gunan had been delivering air tanks to the trapped group but lost consciousness on his way out. His dive partner tried to revive him but couldn’t and had to bring his body out.
“His job was to deliver oxygen. He did not get enough on the way back, a spokesman told BBC World News
The group went into the cave while it was dry but a sudden heavy rain shower flooded the system and they became trapped. They were discovered after 10 days 2.5 miles from the mouth of the cave.
