Tim Conway has been making us laugh for decades; from the inept Ensign Parker in situation comedy Mchale’s Navy to co-starring in the sketch comedy program The Carol Burnett Show and was even the voice of much-loved character Barnacle Boy in animated series SpongeBob SquarePants.
Now his daughter has revealed the heartbreaking truth about the beloved comedian and his health and it’s so sad that it’s happening to a man with such a brilliant comedic mind.
According to publication The Blast court documents from his daughter Kelly reveal that Tim is suffering from dementia. According to the documents, Kelly wanted to be named the conservator of her father so that she can ensure he gets the treatment he needs.
The document later goes on to say Tim is “almost entirely unresponsive” and confined to a wheelchair.
The comedian and father of six is also known for his roles on Married… With Children, Mad About You, 30 Rock, Spongebob Squarepants, Glee, Two and a Half Men and Mike & Molly. And in 2002 he was inducted into the Television Hall of Fame.
In 2016 he was forced to almost retire from acting due to dizzy spells and was unable to appear on the 50th anniversary of The Carol Burnett Show in December 2017.
Watch this comedy legend in the clip below. We hope Tim’s family can find the best care for him in his time of need.
