His daughter Bindi has used her fame to continue the great work of her late father and has attracted a legion of her own fans through her wildlife work and as a singer and actress.

Now, the 20 year old has also shared an emotional tribute to her father 12 years after his death.

Steve was the host of Animal Planet’s “The Crocodile Hunter.” He appeared with Bindi in her wildlife documentary show for Discovery Kids called “Bindi the Jungle Girl,” which didn’t air until after his death.

At a public memorial service in his honor, Bindi was so young but gave the most incredible speech honoring her father saying: “He was working to change the world so everyone would love wildlife like he did. He built a hospital to help animals and he bought lots of land to give animals a safe place to live… We filmed together, caught crocodiles together, and loved being in the bush together. I don’t want Daddy’s passion to ever end. I want to help endangered wildlife just like he did.”

Bindi stayed true to her word and continued to carry on her father’s good work  with wildlife conservation work of her own. She also donates 10% of her wages at the Australia Zoo to her family’s charity, Wildlife Warriors, which was founded in 2002.

She was honored with the Australian Geographic Society’s Young Conservationist of the Year Award in 2014.

In 2015 she won “Dancing With the Stars” with partner Derek Hough. During her appearance Bindi opened up about how emotional losing her father was. “No matter where I go, Dad will always be with me,” she said prior to a performance on the show.

Bindi is such a great role model is so many ways; I’m sure her father is looking down on her so proud of the young woman she has become. Please share as a tribute to this great family.
