Christine Taggart went through 9 years of infertility until she was finally blessed with this amazing human being, her son Jackson Lee.
But 2 years later her whole world fell apart.
Jackson was involved in a terrible accident and passed away.
The family of a 2-year-old boy Jackson is now asking for help and prayers after he accidentally drowned in Sante Fe Lake on Thursday.
Jackson Lee Taggart was reported missing around 7:30 a.m. in the Melrose neighborhood near the Sante Fe Lake on Thursday.
Putnam deputies later found the child in the lake, unresponsive.
According to officials, the father of the household left their home to take another child to school, according to WUSA 9.
That’s when other adults noticed the 2-year-old was missing.
“He is such an amazing little boy,” says Christine Taggart.
“His smile only could light up a room or make your day so much better. His love for Mickey Mouse was undeniable. He loves the outdoors, adventurous, mischievous, absolutely funny, and the sweetest boy you could ever meet. He is such a special boy and didn’t deserve this. He has so much to live for and I would give anything to take his place”.
Christine Taggart says they have four other kids at home who are devastated by the loss and the family is struggling to pay for funerals costs.
“Anything would mean the world to all of us,” she says. “Even if it’s just a prayer.”
There is now a GoFundMe page and a fundraiser for the family.
Unfortunately, the family and Christine have received a lot of hate and mean words. Some people argue that parents should be brought to justice.
”I keep seeing negative trolls by accident. Saying I should be prosecuted. Unfortunately these trolls have NO IDEA what really happened that early in the morning or what our living situation is. Nothing. They assume and pass judgement”, Christine said.
Christine continued:
”Don’t you think losing my baby who I waited 9 years for, almost died giving birth to, raising him in a LOVING HOME with amazing family, friends and church family…..is persecution enough? So to you trolls, the love and support we have is MORE than your made up accusations. NO ONE is a perfect parent but my baby, all my kids ARE LOVED and CARED FOR, cherished!!! Let us grieve in peace. Open a bible. Say a prayer. Stop the judgement. Because one day you could be the one eating your negative words. I pray your never end up in this nightmare or someone close to you”.
