Almost everyone knows someone who got very sick or died from cancer.
Every single day more than 40 children are diagnosed with cancer and families’ lives are turned upside down.
When parents are faced with the overwhelming stress of having a child with cancer, they need to put everything aside and focus on getting the best possible treatment and support.
Callie is eighteen months old and she is already fighting for her life.
This cute little girl has just started living her life when a horrific news was announced by the doctors.
Little Callie was diagnosed with neuroblastoma, a very rare cancer found in children, typically under the age of 1.
Unfortunately, Callie’s disease has metastasized to her lymph nodes and bones.
Her fate is tragic and it breaks my heart seeing any child in a condition like that. Then imagine her parents pain…
Throughout this difficult period, Callie has proven to be a real fighter. She and her parents are doing everything in their power to defeat the horrible disease.
Her family are always besides her, supporting Callie and providing the things she needs.
On a fundraising page created by a family member, people can follow every update on Callie’s cancer treatment.
The idea was to collect donations that will help Callie fight the battle. The parent posted the link on their Facebook page ”Callie Strong”, in order to spread the news.
As expected, the family got donations for this cute little angel. Moreover, they received a lot of support by the community.
However, some people on this planet are just pure evil. The hate and cruelty in their words is just too much to bare.
Believe it or not, these kinds of words have been addressed to the girl after her parents posted the GoFundMe link.
The comment posted on their Facebook page said:
”My prayers for Callie. I was going to donate $7600.00 to her fund, but I found out her parents are lesbian. I’ve chosen to donate to St.Jude due to that fact. Sorry. I’ll still pray for her though, but maybe it’s God’s way of getting your attention that she needs a mommy and a daddy, not two mommy’s”.
One good thing about that rude comment: It was not welcomed by the majority of the people.
Soon, the parents also replied:
“This is a very sick little girl, who’s life is on the line……for someone to actually send this and speak to my family in this way is utterly DISGUSTING……regardless of how you feel, don’t say a word. What Callie needs is love and support…..not hate and misery.”
Cancer is a word everyone knows, but no one deserves the pain associated with it!
Thankfully, Callie got all the support and attention from the people. Hope was also restored after the doctors’ new announcement. They explained:
“Callie will be starting round 5 of chemo on Monday! He also said that there will be no need for round 6 after that stem cell transplant. He said 98% of her tumor is dead!”
If you can, you are welcome to help Callie. This girl deserves to be happy and healthy again!
Praying that other 2 % of tumour will die and she will be fully restored. And ignore those hateful comments!
God does not inflict children with illness to “teach their parents a lesson”. God bless your wee girl and I hope she is totally restored to health very soon .
