A day in the sun is perfect for both body and soul – but it is important to be careful and cover up because sunburn can not only lead to skin cancer it can also be very painful.

If your skin does get burnt there is a natural cure that at least relieves the pain.  And all you have to do is go to your kitchen and get some black tea! Brew a pot of strong tea and let it cool, then soak a towel and place it over the affected area – and the tannic acid and theobromine in the black tea will remove heat from sunburn while other compounds called  catechins found in the tea will help repair the skin.

2. Help for insect bites

Sunburn is usually a given at some point during the summer, getting bitten or stung by a pesky mosquito is another. This is no laughing matter and the itching can drive us all crazy – but to relieve it, you can use baking soda.

Mix with water to form a paste and apply it on the bite and it will help relieve itching. Other home remedies that can relieve itchy bites include tea tree oil or an onion!

Sick of buying expensive medicine for your sore throat? Forget it! Just use apple cider vinegar, a little miracle fluid that has been used to relieve ailments and fight disease for centuries. Just mix 3 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar with 3 tablespoons of water, gargle with the natural remedy for a couple of times per hour to get the maximum affect. The vinegar helps to kill the bacteria that is causing your sore throat.

Most of us think of a big cup of coffee to help keep us alert throughout the day. But a less familiar cure is fresh mint leaves. The smell of mint is a well-known aromatherapy oil to help fight drowsiness and can be a great way to start the day!

In addition, you can also eat them; the green leaves are rich in vitamin C and E, folic acid, calcium and iron.

Honey has many positive properties including its healing power because it contains a specific lactic acid bacteria. Some researchers even claim that it can also serve as a antibiotic. Having said that, honey can be a good remedy for healing wounds. For this it is best to use wild honey because it is considered extra rich in these healthy bacteria.

6. Tackling warts

It may seem strange, but duct tape can actually clear warts! This is because the tape sticks to the warts and causes them to die. Place a piece over your wart for about six days, remove the tape, wipe and remove the dead skin. Repeat until you have stripped away the wart completely – simple and clever!
