Olivia Newton-John and John Travolta reunite for Grease roles for first since 1978

It’s been 42 years since the dynamic duo Olivia Newton-John and John Travolta hit our screens in the iconic movie Grease.

Now the two stars have reunited for the first time since 1978 as part of a the “Meet n’ Grease Movie Sing-A-Long” event.

The 71-year-old Australian actress took to Instagram to post a picture of her and her former co-star John Travolta in their costumes.

“First time in costume since we made the movie! So excited!” Olivia wrote.

The event was held in three venues in Florida just before Christmas where Olivia appeared in her pleated yellow skirt and cardigan with a white shirt underneath, and instantly became Sandy again.

John, 65, wore his iconic leather jacket with ‘T birds’ on the back as he wore in the movie. The 65-year-old shaved his beard and even wore a hair piece styled just as Danny Zuko wore it all those years ago.

The pair walked onto the stage hand in hand to thousands of screaming fans and then Olivia switched to her legendary leather leggings as she wore in the unforgettable finale of Grease.

Olivia was all smiles despite announcing recently that she is battling breast cancer for the third time.

The buyer of her original leather jacket from the movie recently returned it and donated the proceeds of $243,000 to the star’s cancer treatment center, according to the Daily Mail.

The buyer of the jacket described himself as Olivia’s “No. 1 fan” and wished her “God speed for a quick recovery.”

Seeing these two together again in their Grease outfits brings back so many memories.
