Loretta Lynn’s reportedly prepared for her final days – now she squashes rumors with new video

In May 2017, Loretta Lynn was hospitalized after suffering a stroke at her home.

The ordeal left the 87-year-old country legend fighting for her life – Lynn spent several months both in the hospital and at a rehabilitation centre.

Last week, Radar Online reported that the music legend’s health had deteriorated to the point where her family were preparing for her final days.

In the wake of that batch of speculation, however, the country music legend has put the rumors to rest via a video shared to social media.

After her severe stroke two years ago, Lynn was expected to make a full recovery. She appeared to have bounced back well, regaining her speech and motor skills.

Yet according to reports from Radar Online last week, Lynn’s health was declining rapidly.

Lynn was going to spend her final days in an assisted living facility, and her friends and family were lining up to make their farewells, according to the celebrity news outlet.

“It’s so sad to see Loretta breaking down,” one source told Radar Online, continuing: “She needs a walker or a wheelchair to get around now, and on top of that, she suffers from glaucoma, so her vision is severely compromised. The combination of poor eyesight and poor balance is a disaster waiting to happen.”

The insider also said that Lynn’s famous friends, including country legends Dolly Parton and Willie Nelson, were making plans to visit her “before it’s too late.”

Shortly after the reports began to take flame, however, did Lynn come out and deny the information.

She put ongoing gossip about her health to bed via video shared to social media.

“Well, through the years they’ve said I’m broke, homeless, cheating, drinking, gone crazy, terminally ill, and even dead!” the country legend wrote on Facebook.

“Poor things can’t ever get it right. I guess if those old pesky tabloids are harassing me then they’re giving someone else a break…..but I’m about an inch from taking ’em to Fist City!”

There was also reports that Lynn was forced to move from her 3,500-acre ranch in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee, to a home closer to Nashville.

“You’re kidding me!”

In the video, the 87-year-old singer, known for hits like “Coal Miner’s Daughter” and “You Ain’t Woman Enough”, denied she’s living in a nursing home.

“Hey! This says I’m in a nursing home and I’m on my deathbed? You’re kidding me!” Lynn says in the video. “I ain’t dead, and neither is [Willie Nelson]. Both of us are coming back to life, and we’re gonna raise hell.”

I’m really glad that the reports aren’t true!

It’s sad how some people can be so mean and disrespectful …

I hope you show them you are the Queen of Country and always will be, Loretta ❤️
