Olivia de Havilland is one of very few surviving actresses from Hollywood’s so-called “golden age”. She is also the only one from the Gone with the Wind cast who’s still alive.

At the age of 102, she looks incredible.

Olivia was born in Tokyo, Japan, as her father, a British diplomat, was working there at the time. In 1919 the family moved to California – and Olivia’s mom, who had been an actress before she got married, gave Olivia and her sisters acting, music and dance lessons.

It was there that Olivia’s passion for acting was born, something that would lead to her starring in 49 movies during her successful career. One of them was the timeless classic Gone with the Wind.

During her career, Olivia had a long-standing rivalry with her sister, Joan Fontaine.

They had a terrible relationship, and it turned even worse in 1941 when the sisters went head-to-head for the Oscar for best actress. The award was given to Joan, for her role in Suspicion.

Olivia was recently honored with the title “Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire” by Queen Elizabeth II.

Today she lives in France – and is just as beautiful as she’s always been!
