Mom dies giving birth to baby for another family

Bringing new life into the world is such a privilege and for those who want to but can’t, it can cause heartbreak.

Michelle Reaves was finished with having her own family but decided she was going to give the gift of life to another family who couldn’t have their own children.

Second surrogacy for family

Her sacrifice was commendable and she was in the process of having a second child for the couple when a tragedy occurred that nobody expected. Now a father and his two children are left shocked and heartbroken.

Michelle, from San Diego, was on her second surrogacy for the family.

Michelle, you were an angel in life, an amazing mother and wife, a great friend. I wish I had been able to come out…

“As she was delivering the baby this morning, one complication led to the next and she fought for her life. Although the baby made it out safe, Michelle did not,” according to a GoFundMe page for the family.

Michelle was able to give a family their second child but now her own two young sons are without a mom.

Always had you laughing

“I can’t even begin to imagine what her husband Chris and her two babies are going through so I want to start this page to help raise money for help with the kids, for Chris as they all adjust, funeral services or anything at all to make it as easy as we can on them,” wrote Jaime Herwehe, who has organized the GoFundMe.

Paying tribute to Michelle, Jamie wrote, “Michelle has the best, most sarcastic, funny personality and always had you laughing.”

She went on to explain how Michelle and her husband wanted to help another family who couldn’t have kids of their own.

Love she had for her family

“She will always be known for the love she had for her family,” Jamie said, adding that her “heart breaks for (Gage and Monroe), knowing they won’t grow old with their mama.”

The GoFundMe has so far raised over $47,000 toward its $100,000 goal to help her husband Chris.
