Tourist spots baggage handler with her luggage – so shocked she has to start recording

Most of us would rather travel with our luggage alongside us at all times. The idea that our much-needed items might not make it with us if we check our bags is a fear for so many travelers; I know it’s happened to me.

But now there seems to be another reason to want to keep our luggage at carry on size and the reason has been caught on camera. One tourist witnessed shocking treatment of her suitcase and after she shared the footage, it immediately hit the headlines.

The shocked passenger could only watch while her suitcase was thrown onto a trailer with such force it fell off the back, damaging her property.

It happened at Manchester Airport, in England. I’m sure Elizabeth Evans already had the “holiday blues” after returning from a sunny trip to Malaga, in Spain. But then had to watch her new pick suitcase decorated with butterflies thrown in the air by the careless baggage handler!

She recorded the incident and is heard saying: “That’s mine yeah” as she watches from the plane window.

The 28-year-old, from Bury, Manchester, said: “I’m very angry and shocked. It was a new case. The case is dented and the protective layer has been torn off it.”

It wasn’t just Elizabeth’s suitcase that was hurled across the trailer; she recorded the handler throwing many others. Only when five bags fell off the side did the baggage handler go to pick them up.

A spokesman for Swissport, the company which handles the baggage operation for Ryanair, said they are “disappointed” by the footage and are investigating what happened, according to a report in U.K. newspaper Metro.

The video was shared on Twitter and Facebook and many people immediately responded shocked and angry by what they saw.

One Twitter user said: “This is atrocious, he’s got no excuse for this, it’s not like the bags are coming down at full speed.”

Another said: “Wow no respect for people’s belongings at all this is terrible. Could be people’s laptops or anything in there worth a lot of money.”

Watch the shocking footage in the video below. It left me wondering why he was so angry with these bags!
