On the surface country music legend Reba McEntire looks like she has it all; she’s one of the biggest selling artists of all time as well as a record producer and actress.
But behind the scenes the Oklahoma-born Queen of Country has had a tough time.
After 26 years of marriage to television producer Narvel Blackstock the couple split and went through a difficult divorce.
After a tough few years it seems Reba has found happiness again with former businessman and photographer Anthony “Skeeter” Lasuzzo. The couple have been caught on camera in some very cute moments.
Reba met her ex-husband when he was the steel guitarist for her band, and they married in 1989.
They have a son together, Shelby and Reba is also stepmother to Narvel’s three children, Shawna, Chassidy, and Brandon. Brandon is married to singing sensation and ‘The Voice’ coach Kelly Clarkson.
Greater strain
Despite the two splitting Reba and Narvel continue to run Starstruck Entertainment together.
But their crumbling relationship was put under an even greater strain when rumors started that Narvel was dating her longtime friend Laura Putty Stroud.
Reba says the divorce was hard to get through adding, “I’ve prayed every day to help me have the strength to move one foot in front of the other, to continue on with what I’m supposed to be doing and why he put me on this Earth in the first place,” she told CMT Radio.
In 2017 Reba visited Jackson Hole in Wyoming and friends suggested that wildlife photographer Anthony “Skeeter” Lasuzzo be her tour guide.
Started dating
Reba talked about the time when her friends Kix and Barbara Brooks suggested Anthony join her.
“[They said] we’ve got a friend who is a wildlife photographer, and he knows all the good places to go and he’ll drive you around,” Reba told CountryLiving.com. “And so he did, and we started dating about a month or two after that.”
The couple appeared together at the 2018 Grammy Awards and more than a year later this adorable couple are still dating.
They seem to share a love of traveling. “Last year we were in Africa, Italy, and Iceland,” Reba told CountryLiving.com. “We want to go to New Zealand.”
With a spring in her step and plenty to look forward to her latest album reflects happier times for the country star.
Her latest album, ‘Stronger Than the Trut’h, is full of upbeat, dance-inspiring tunes.
