It doesn’t matter if the ‘to-do’ list is long, if you’re short on time or if it’s freezing cold outside. The motherly instinct never fails – not even for the higest level of royalty.
Once a mom, always a mom.
Just ask Kate Middleton – who’s now being hailed all over the world for her heart warming gesture towards a young boy.
Kate Middleton and Prince William became parents in the summer of 2013, when little Prince George was born. Two years later, in May 2015, they welcomed Princess Charlotte into the world.
Nobody has any doubt that William and Kate put the wellbeing of children above anything else.
Kate Middleton proved that earlier this week, when the royal couple paid a visit to an industrial area in Coventry, UK.
The whole town was anticipating William and Kate’s visit. A huge crowd waited, eager to catch a glimpse of royalty. There were even many school children in the crowd.
They waited for hours out in the cold, just to be able to see Prince William and Kate with their own eyes!
Soon enough, the royal couple arrived. But out in the huge crowd vying for their attention, Kate caught sight of a young boy.
Thank you Coventry for a wonderful visit!

The boy was pale and looked like he didn’t feel well.
And sure enough, Kate’s motherly instinct took over.
The Duchess stopped, bent down to the boy… and in a soft voice asked if he was OK.
She learned that the boy, Craig Skipper, had stood waiting for three hours in the cold. It had obviously taken a toll on the 10 year old.
Luckily Kate stepped in. After talking to the boy for a while, the Duchess asked her bodyguards to fetch a paper bag, in case the 10 year old needed to be sick.
“It was lovely of her. She really took time with him. You can tell she is a mom and has got that caring side,” says Carole Flynn who works at the boy’s school.
In another area of the crowd, William had his own parental moment. A little girl was crying, and the Prince stopped immediately to ask her what was wrong. After successfully calming the girl down, the Prince asked if she wanted him to go and buy her a hot chocolate.
“They didn’t seem like people who are too busy for other people,” says 9 year old Mia Ramin.
I have to agree!
It made me so happy reading this story. For Prince William and Kate Middleton, it doesn't matter if they're busy – the royal couple always have time for children!
