Horses are super-smart animals; they can be trained to race, show jump and even dance. When we see them prance, jump and sidestep, we can’t help but watch in awe at these majestic beasts.
However, in the video you’re about to see, I doubt you’ve ever seen a horse display these moves. As soon as the music starts and the dancers perform the horse begins a line dance routine in perfect timing with the dancers around him and it’s pretty amazing.
Just like humans certain music can actually stress horses out while other genres can be soothing to a horse’s senses. A study published in The Horse found that classical and country music were actually the best genres for horses.
The article said the effect of certain music on horses could be determined by the way the horses were eating. The quieter they ate, the calmer they were.
And in this horse’s case he seems to favor country music as he moves perfectly to the sounds of Billy Ray Cyrus’ “Achy Breaky Heart.” In fact Billy Ray Cyrus was so impressed with the mammal’s moves he posted it to his Facebook page with the caption “best thing ever.”
Every time the chorus came around, you could tell the horse got even more excited. Apparently “Achy Breaky Heart” holds a special place in its own!
